A Chocolate Affaire

Last Friday, we visited Glendale's famous "Chocolate Affaire." It is in downtown Glendale and there is over three dozen chocolate vendors.....so delicious!

We thought we would try chocolate-covered cheesecake - Nolan loved it!

Andrew loved it!

And I loved it!

News in the New Year!

2009 will be bringing us more joy - as we are expecting our second child! I am due July 28, and Nolan is hoping for a baby sister. It is too early to know yet, but the doctor tells us the baby is looking healthy so far. In this ultrasound picture you can see the body, head, and little arms and legs. We are so excited!

Fall Festival

So we seem to be back to a normal (whatever that is) schedule now that we are all moved into our new home (stay tuned for a virtual tour)....so it is time to get back on track blogging.

In late-October, Nolan, Mary & I went to a Fall Festival put on by West Valley and had a great time.

Will Dress For Food

Chick-fil-A's Cow Appreciation Day!

In order to receive a free combo meal we dressed like cows

from head to hoof - it was totally worth it!

It is important for little calves to hold hands when walking in the street.

It was so exciting inside, the boys got all the attention and they had so much fun running around showing everyone their costumes and saying "moo."

Hall of Flame

Yesterday, we visited the Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting. It was a great indoor activity and Nolan loved it! We will make attending this museum one of our "must-do" summer day trips.

Daddy's Socks

I found a great new thing to play with - Daddy's socks. These are his shortest socks and they go all the way up to my knees! Mommy thinks they make me look like a soccer player.

4th of July

Family Photo in our matching patriotic shirts... Andrew was a good sport - he hates when we match, but is usually just once a year for 4th of July (and sometimes for other family photos).

We thought we may not get to see any fireworks this year because of the high winds. It turns out that the fireworks (at Surprise Stadium) were only delayed and we did get to see them after all. While waiting for the fireworks we took a walk to the park and got to see a great lightning show. I love the evenings during monsoon season!

Sandbox Fun

My wonderful great grandparents got me a sandbox to play with this week. I am having all sorts of fun with it!

Momma says it is important to stay hydrated because it is so hot outside, here is my method.

Puerto Vallarta

In Puerto Vallarta, we took an excursion on a zip line tour.

We drove in this thing, called a "unimog"....it was a little scary at times - we thought we might fly out!

Always time for a pose - even when we are hanging onto dear life!

We could not bring our cameras on our tour (the company was afraid they would fall and break, you know how that insurance stuff goes), but here is a shot of the first zip line. The first few were pretty easy, they got progressively more fast and steep.
